Erica Yitzhak graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Business from Washington University in St. Louis in 1996. After completing her undergraduate studies, Erica enrolled at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City to pursue her dream of attaining a Master’s Degree. Erica received her Doctorate of Law upon graduation from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1999. Upon the completion of her studies, Erica Yitzhak was admitted to the Bar in the State of New York in 2002. Erica also has federal admission in Eastern and Southern districts. Erica Yitzhak has been awarded in both 2018 and 2019 with the Lawyers of Distinction Award, as well as one of the 10 Best Female Attorneys in New York. Erica Yitzhak is a member of both the Nassau County Bar Association and of the New York State Bar Association.
Michele is an associate at the Yitzhak Law Group, where she focuses on commercial litigation, transactional corporate work, and personal and corporate bankruptcy matters. Prior to joining the firm, she was an in-house attorney at a global private equity company, assisting portfolio companies on day-to-day legal matters involving intellectual property, contracts, employment law, and operational issues. She also served on the company’s M&A team, assisting with legal due diligence on the buy-side in deals. Michele’s prior experience also includes work in the health care and compliance industries as a professional writer, as well as positions in legal marketing at AmLaw 100 and 200 firms in the New York City area.
Michele is licensed in both New York and Texas, and holds a JD from the University of Texas School of Law, an MFA in creative writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with high honors from the Plan II Honors Liberal Arts Program.
